Prompt #23 - Do you believe in an afterlife? If so, what do you expect to find when you get there?
I know something of me will live on when I die. My quickening will transfer to the immortal that removed my head. Quickenings are said to be a transfer of the defeated immortal's knowledge and power to the victor.

Each quickening is different, some have shifted my feelings, while others have made me feel stronger, and some have made me feel as if nothing has happened at all. I have been addicted the rush that comes with the quickening and gone centuries without them. Each transfer of quickening energy is marked by spike of energy and lightening, the older the immortal and the more heads the immortal has taken the longer the transfer. After the transfer each quickening's effect is different and there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason as to what effect that will be.

Will there be an afterlife when I'm dead? No idea, but I'm not done living my life and experiencing everything I can. It'll be the last thing I find out and I hope not to find out for a very long time.
